Kids Comments

Little kids say the funniest things! I figured I'd share with you some of the things my brothers, or the kids I babysat, have said.

“I'll put your pillow sheet on for you mommy.”

“Can I have some of your hair Jell-o mommy?”

3 year old: “More Jell-o please.”
Mom: ”You mean cranberries?”
3 year old: “Yeah!”

(Turns light on) “Here's another light to turn off!”

“Brother, can I cozy by myself with you?”

“I'm not bigger than you, I'm just a little big.”

“I didn't wake the baby, I just opened the door to say hi to him.”

“ I'm allowed to have sugar mint tea. I mean peppermint.”

“Mom and Dad, can I sleep with you tonight? I will keep you warm (wink wink).”

“Mmm yummy hair, it smells good enough to be eaten!”

Dad: "Your mom makes the cutest kids!"
3 year old: "No she doesn't, God does!"

“The baby is crying, he is not crying for food he is crying for me.”

“Maybe when I grow up I will be a teenager.”

“ Do we have the Easter bunny’s number?”

“Dear Lord, please don't let us read anymore books about people dying of heart attacks.”

“Your Cat did not realize me without my glasses on, now she realizes me.”

“I like things that are moldy and gross!”

“Ooh I like your stinky smell!”

“This 'structions says two table cups of sugar and two table cups of salt.”

“Look! I found a broom-er (bristle) off the broom.”

“We've got a darning noodle and some thread.”

“I'm not little it just looks like it when I'm in my booster seat.”

“I will so miss you Calli but it's OK. We will see each other when I get back home!”

“I just licked it to get it clean.”

“You know, I love you, sis. Don't tell mom that I love you.”

Why do my kids get to say all the funny stuff? What have your kids, or siblings, come up with? I would love to hear about it, tell me in the comments!

Catching up

Hello! I haven't written anything since last November. Wow! The time has flown! A number of things have changed in my life, probably more than has ever changed before in such a short time. I'll quickly get you caught up on what's been happening. Courtship      First of all, I started courting (not dating) the most wonderful man in the world. On my birthday last January he surprised me by coming with a letter asking me to begin a relationship with him that, Lord willing, would lead to marriage. Graduation Secondly my crazy plan succeed even with all the excitement. By God's grace I finished high school a year early, that's why I'm hoping to be able to keep up with this blog. I also succeed in avoiding a graduation party! Instead my mom and I went with some dear friends on a ladies retreat to Mackinac Island. Way more fun! Engagement On Memorial Day 2017 My dear Matthew asked me to marry him. With his marvelous perfectionistic tendencies (which I do NOT p...

Kinky Yarn

Life's like a pile of kinky yarn, I spend my life trying to crochet something beautiful. I try to make up a perfect pattern, but in the end I end up with a pile of kinky yarn and a bunch of knots. The more I try to fix my problems, un-tangle my pile and make something beautiful, all I turn out with is more knots, the more I try the more knotted it is. The good news is, there is someone who comes along and untangles my little pile of string. There is someone who comes up beside me and sorts out the meaningless mass of knots that I have made. When anyone else would have walked away, when anyone else would have thrown my yarn heap in the trash can, or burned it, for all the trouble it had caused. When I have thrown their hands in the air and admitted that I can’t do it, when I have humbled myself to the point of asking for help, then, and only then does He step in. He knew that I needed help all along, but He waited until I knew, so that I could see how much I truly did need H...
